ESSR endorsed by the British Council of Rome

ESSR was established by academy director Dek Smith in August 2008 to work with and along existing football programs in schools and clubs in the Rome area. Since then ESSR has forged links with a number of football bodies to deliver quality coaching and provide a coach education syllabus

ESSR has set up a football academies at a number of schools in Rome.

St George’s School now has its own football academy where all St George’s footballers male and female can attend. St George’s also employs Dek Smith has head of football development to run all their football programs from ages 5 to 18 male and female. Coach Dek coordinates coaching sessions and runs coaching courses for all their football staff. He also organizes and runs football tournaments and fixtures for ST George’s Football Academy

SFA is also run as a mirror football program in the south of Rome at Southlands English School in Rome.

Southlands pupils have the same football opportunities as all the other academy players and often play in games and tournaments arranged through the academy.

English Soccer School in Rome www.englishsoccerschoolinrome & Otubushin Football Academy www.otubushinfc.com in Nigeria are proud to announce their affiliation Nov 2010

ESSR directors and the directors of Otubushin FC Academy in Nigeria have agreed to affiliate for the purpose of forging strong links to hopefully give the young talented footballers from the African Nations the opportunity to promote their skills to football clubs of Europe.

This affiliation will provide a proven scouting network to evaluate youth players from African Nations, to be invited to train/play and obtain coaching and game knowledge under an internship through the academies in Rome, Italy and Manchester England.

I have also listed the proposed academy dates for the next few months, plus dates for the SGFA Summer Camp. The academy time will remain at 10.00am – 12.30pm on Saturday’s until at least after Easter. We will review the time for the summer term after the Easter break.

Our goal is to have all our SGFA players participate in football tournaments. Please let any SGFA staff member know if your son or daughter is not representing their school in any of the tournaments listed below and we will do our best to have them placed on a SGFA academy team.

ESSR welcomes players from America, Africa and Europe to be involved on academy internships.

Players will be showcased and evaluated on International mixed teams and offered the opportunity to take football coaching courses plus train at a number of clubs in Europe.
